Waves of white

When hunger comes around
numbness sets the pace
a frozen… nay — a dried thought
folded a thousand times in what takes half a breath

it has then begun
obsession sets
a snake on wheels
biting my leg
like it would a stallion’s
before being cleaved into two

such it the hunger that now plagues
nay… plagued me
I feel it, still
seeping into my clothes
into my bed

a final thought for the night
white like my eyes’ canvas
reflecting her long, pale legs
